Biography
Jason Burkhead spent 20 years in the United States Air Force as a law enforcement officer. Throughout his military career he gained significant experience investigating state and federal crimes as well as learning and enforcing state vehicle code.
Jason has been formerly certified in National Field Sobriety Tests (FSTs), multiple breath-alcohol testing systems, RADAR, and other tools used by law enforcement to create evidence against the accused. He has also been both a criminal investigator and a major traffic collision investigator. All of these experiences give Jason a unique ability to review and interpret police reports for procedural defects and rights violations which may be key to helping clients get clear of charges.
Following his military career, Jason attended California Western School of Law in San Diego. After gaining experience in various types of civil litigation, Jason refocused his efforts on criminal law.
As a veteran, Jason is committed to helping the San Diego veteran community and has the knowledge and experience necessary to get eligible veterans into diversion programs. As a former law enforcement officer, he is committed to thoroughly reviewing the governments evidence for errors and omissions to get his clients the best outcome available.
Jason has been actively growing his network of investigators, experts, and other attorneys throughout San Diego and the surrounding counties. If he cannot help you, he can likely refer to someone who can.
During his off-time, Jason enjoys spending time with his family, watching sports, and further developing his legal knowledge.
